The MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences:

The MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences offers advanced training in clinical practice and the related evidence base, with modules ranging from neuroscience to epidemiology and leadership andquality improvement. It is suitable for psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists and other clinicians who would like to obtain an academically rigorous advanced training in mental health. There is also a pathway for people with a strong academic background but limited clinical experience – they will take a new double module in clinical mental health to deepen their understanding of clinical aspects of mental health.

In this course we aim to offer a high quality and flexible research training to aspiring researchers and academics. As well as core methodological courses, a range of options from neuroscience to epidemiology and global health is available. Many teachers are international leaders in their fields,and there are opportunities to get involved in the work of prominent research groups. The final dissertation takes the form of a paper ready to submit for publication. 

Both courses offer a range of modes of study, from full time 1 year to flexible 2-5 years, and Certificate and Diploma options are also available for students who do not complete the full course.
